The Story:
In the glittering underbelly of Parisian nightlife, theatrical visionary Robert Dhéry (Robert Dhéry) unleashes his scandalous new revue, “Ah! Les Belles Bacchantes,” starring the voluptuous Bluebell Girls of the Lido in a whirlwind of tantalizing dances and daring disrobes that promise to set the city ablaze with forbidden allure.
Chaos erupts backstage as a bumbling plumber fumbles through repairs amid jealous spats with his fiery fiancée, while nervous debutante Colette Brosset (Colette Brosset) stumbles into the spotlight, all interrupted by a stern police inspector’s covert probe into the show’s morality, turning rehearsals into a riot of mishaps and mix-ups.
From surreal beachside romps in “musical cabin doors” to a hilarious comic striptease and a climactic frenzy of swinging, bell-ringing monks, this Agfacolor extravaganza blends bawdy burlesque with uproarious comedy, leaving audiences breathless with laughter and longing for more of 1954’s naughtiest spectacle!
