The Story:
In 1942 WWII Yugoslavia American pilot Steve Corbett [George Montgomery] escapes a Nazi POW camp and links with Yugoslav partisans including Pia Fermich [Rada Đuričin] and Marko [Rade Marković].
Learning the brutal SS Colonel and camp commandant Colonel Hassler [Branko Pleša] plans to turn the city into a spearhead for invasion he forgoes return to Allied lines to join their assassination plot planting a bomb at 10:10.
