The Story:

Enter the cunning Prime Minister, who hatches a devious plot: secretly journeying to Paris, he kidnaps four legendary entertainers—vibrant chanteuse Annie Cordy, hilarious Jimmy Gaillard, suave Henri Salvador, and witty Christian Duvaleix—to dazzle the princess with their Parisian sketches and fantasies, all in a bid to win her smile, her hand in marriage, and ultimate power; but as the captives uncover Aline’s heartbreak over a forced betrothal, and the PM battles a hunger strike among prisoners by teasing them with radio broadcasts of succulent Coq au Vin recipes, chaos ensues.
