The Story:
In the chaotic riots of Viterbo prison, a cunning gangster posing as a cop assassinates key witness Giacomo La Rosa, set to expose the ruthless New York Mafia boss Don Girolamo Giarra (Eli Wallach); outraged Commissioner Tozzi drafts the maverick detective Nico Giraldi (Tomas Milian), staging his dismissal to unleash him as a rogue ex-cop on an undercover odyssey across the Atlantic to dismantle the syndicate from within.
Posing as a waiter in Little Italy’s bustling eateries, Nico infiltrates the Don’s inner circle, rekindling ties with his debt-ridden pal Salvatore Esposito while dodging the amorous assaults of the boss’s comically persistent daughter Maria Sole; as clues point westward, the chase erupts into high-stakes chases and betrayals, culminating in the neon-lit dangers of Las Vegas where Nico faces a near-fatal date with the gas chamber.
A pulse-pounding blend of gritty cop thrills and uproarious Italian flair, Little Italy delivers Tomas Milian’s irreverent charm in a whirlwind of mob mayhem, narrow escapes, and justice served with a side of spaghetti—don’t miss this explosive 1978 poliziottesco romp that turns the underworld upside down!
