The Story:
In a desperate bid for freedom, rugged drifter Steve Daley (Guy Madison) is forced into a shotgun wedding with fiery fur trader Cheyenne O’Malley (Rhonda Fleming) by the scheming Judge Carr, only to face betrayal as the judge hires slow-witted gunman “Slow” Karp (James Griffith) to eliminate him post-ceremony; with the aid of loyal sidekick Podo (Dan Sheridan), Daley escapes and learns of Cheyenne’s vast empire from rival trader John Parnell (Peter Adams), who schemes to use the marriage for a forced merger.
Refusing to vanish into the wilderness, Daley pursues Cheyenne’s wagon train to assert his spousal claims and seize control of her thriving business, igniting a fierce clash where the headstrong widow lashes him with her bullwhip in defiance, while Karp, now double-dealing for both the judge’s deadly plot and Parnell’s protective interests, weaves a web of deception for personal gain.
