The Story:

In the tenth year of the epic siege of Troy, the mighty Greek warrior Achilles (Gordon Mitchell) stands as the unyielding champion of the Achaean forces, his Myrmidons a terror to the besieged Trojans led by noble Prince Hector (Jacques Bergerac), all sparked by Paris’s abduction of Helen, wife of Menelaus, drawing the wrath of King Agamemnon (Mario Petri) and his vast armada to the shores of Ilium.

But discord shatters the Greek unity when Agamemnon, compelled to return his captive prize to appease the wrathful gods, spitefully seizes Achilles’ beloved Briseis (Gloria Milland), igniting the hero’s fury; in defiance, Achilles withdraws his invincible army, leaving the Greeks exposed as Hector launches a ferocious assault, driving them toward their beached ships while the divine immortals meddle visibly in the fray with poetic verse echoing across the blood-soaked sands.

Witness the tragic valor of Patroclus (Ennio Girolami), who dons Achilles’ divine armor to rally the faltering allies, only to meet his doom at Hector’s hand, unleashing Achilles’ vengeful rampage that culminates in a thunderous duel and the desecration of a fallen prince, a tale of rage, loss, and heroic glory that ends as the ancient epic does, with solemn rites amid the shadows of impending doom.
