The Story:
In the bustling streets of Essen, dishwasher Ingo (Jürgen Vogel) finds himself mistakenly auditioning at the Folkwang Academy after his girlfriend departs, leading him to befriend rejected applicant Johannes (Kai Wiesinger) and hatch a plan to hitchhike to Munich for acting dreams at the Otto Falckenberg School.
Along the wild Autobahn journey, they encounter eccentric driver Bierchen (Armin Rohde) and ambitious hustler Ali (Gedeon Burkhard), forming the “little sharks” trio who endure odd jobs like nude modeling and blood donation while Johannes falls for street musician Herta (Meret Becker), all under the stern direction of Sönke Wortmann in this 1992 road-trip comedy.
With raw talent clashing against polished technique at the decisive auditions, only the unlikely Ingo succeeds, yet the bittersweet bonds of friendship and self-discovery in Little Sharks promise a heartwarming tale of unexpected paths in the cutthroat world of performance.
