The Story:
In 1615 France, bold Gascon Adhémar de Capestang (Jean Pâqui) arrives in Paris seeking fortune, rescues beautiful Gisèle (Claude Génia) from a masked kidnapper, and is chosen by provincial nobles to protest the tyranny of Marshal Concini and his henchman Rinaldo to the young King Louis XIII.
After saving the King’s life from an assassination plot, Capestang refuses to join Gisèle’s father the Duke of Angoulême in treasonous rebellion, leaving him trapped between Concini’s Florentine tyrants and the scheming rebels.
With flashing sword and Gascon wit, the Capitan battles court betrayals to slay Concini, restore order to the realm, and claim both fortune and the hand of his beloved in this thrilling swashbuckler of loyalty and romance.
