The Story:
In the heart of a vibrant Romani community along the Danube, the enchanting Anika (Madeleine Sologne) finds herself torn between her true love, the passionate Sandor (José Noguéro), and the wealthy suitor Féry (Raymond Segard) who showers her with gifts.
When Féry is mysteriously assassinated, suspicion falls on Sandor, forcing him to flee into exile as Anika desperately seeks to prove his innocence with the help of wise fortune teller Maria (Marguerite Moreno).
