The Story:
In the bustling barracks of the 51st Chasseurs in 1885 France, a ragtag squadron of soldiers led by the affable Captain Hurluret (Raimu) navigates the absurdities of military life through hilarious escapades: sly Croquebol and La Guillaumette plot daring wall-scaling getaways, while slackers Fricot (Jean Gabin) and Laplotte bungle every chore with chaotic flair, and dimwitted Vanderague (Fernandel) cheerfully affirms every blunder with his signature “Y’a du bon!”
