The Story:
Bert Leitner (Helmut Fischer), a successful crime novelist in Berlin, neglects his wife Conny (Uschi Glas) and their children by spending nights in bars for authentic research material.
Conny files for divorce and moves to Munich, where she mistakes teacher Frank Müller (Thomas Gottschalk) for a carpenter and he plays along to charm her, while Bert embraces single life in Ibiza before realizing he misses his family and returns to compete for her.
This 1984 German comedy delivers a tohuwabohu of hilarious complications culminating in a big bang reunion as the Leitners reconcile amid the shambles.
