The Story:

Rising to the glittering courts of Paris as chaplain to the opulent Gondi family and Almoner General of the Galleys, Vincent wields his influence against noble apathy, founding the Foundling Hospital for abandoned infants, co-creating the street-walking Daughters of Charity with Louise de Marillac, and braving the hellish chains of galley slaves to ignite a revolution in compassion amid the era’s cruel divides.
As decades etch weariness into his frame, Vincent grapples with the endless tide of suffering, yet in his twilight hour on a 1660 deathbed, he imparts timeless wisdom to a novice—that only love redeems the bread given—leaving a legacy of dignity that forever reshapes the soul of charity in a world starved for grace.
