The Story:
In the sun-baked wilds of North Africa, renowned surgeon Dr. Walter (Curt Jürgens), exhausted after a grueling day at the remote hospital, finds himself cruelly isolated when suspicious locals reject his aid and thieves strip the tires from his car, stranding him in the merciless desert night.
Defiant and desperate, Walter sets out on foot through the blistering sands, spurning the eerie offers of guidance from the enigmatic Bortak, only to discover the sly wanderer perpetually ahead on the trail, luring him deeper into dehydration and doubt until, parched and broken, he succumbs to the promise of a shadowy shortcut that twists into a nightmare of endless deception.
As thirst drives him to madness, Walter strikes out in rage, knife in hand, unveiling Bortak’s fatal lie—that he’s been circling the doomed doctor like a vulture all along—in this pulse-pounding thriller of revenge and retribution where every step echoes the biblical cry of ‘an eye for an eye’!
