The Story:

In the wild Arizona Territory of 1880, a motley crew boards a stagecoach bound for Lordsburg: the shunned prostitute Dallas (Claire Trevor), the boozy Doc Boone (Thomas Mitchell), the refined pregnant Lucy Mallory (Louise Platt) en route to her cavalry husband, her chivalrous guardian Hatfield (John Carradine) the gambler, timid whiskey peddler Samuel Peacock (Donald Meek), and shady banker Henry Gatewood (Berton Churchill) fleeing with stolen loot, all under the watchful eye of Marshal Curley Wilcox (George Bancroft) and driver Buck (Andy Devine).

Along the perilous trail, they pick up escaped convict The Ringo Kid (John Wayne), a vengeance-driven outlaw hunting the Plummer brothers who slaughtered his family, as Apache chief Geronimo’s warriors lurk, launching a brutal attack that tests loyalties, births a child amid chaos, and exposes hidden sins including Gatewood’s embezzlement.

From dusty trails to thunderous shootouts, witness redemption, romance blooming between outcasts, and heroic stands in John Ford’s epic Western saga of nine strangers forged by danger into unlikely kin!
