The Story:
In the turbulent year of 1835, rugged frontiersman Jim Bowie (Sterling Hayden) uncovers the tyrannical ambitions of his former comrade General Santa Anna (J. Carrol Naish), who dreams of a Mexican empire modeled after Napoleon, strangling the freedoms of Texas settlers and igniting the flames of revolution as Bowie rallies fellow Texicans including the indomitable Davy Crockett (Arthur Hunnicutt) and the steadfast Colonel William Travis (Richard Carlson) to defend their homeland.
