The Story:
In the fiery dawn of Texas independence, rugged frontiersman Jim Bowie (Sterling Hayden) rallies a band of defiant Texicans, including the legendary Davy Crockett (Arthur Hunnicutt), to fortify the sacred mission of the Alamo against the advancing Mexican forces led by the iron-fisted General Santa Anna.
As tensions erupt between fiery Colonel William Travis (Richard Carlson) and the ailing yet unyielding Bowie, the outnumbered defenders face relentless sieges, with Travis falling valiantly on the blood-soaked walls, Crockett perishing in a cataclysmic final explosion, and Bowie, confined to his sickbed, slaying several soldiers in a heroic last stand before meeting his fate.
Behold a saga of unbridled courage and sacrifice, where the thunder of cannon fire echoes the unquenchable spirit of freedom—will the Alamo’s defiant roar ignite the flames of liberty, or fade into the annals of tragic glory?
