The Story:

Carrol Naish), rugged frontiersman Jim Bowie (Sterling Hayden) uncovers the dictator’s Napoleonic ambitions and rallies fellow Texicans, including his old comrade Mike Radin (Ernest Borgnine), for a fight for freedom from Mexico’s tyranny.
Tempers flare between Bowie and Colonel William Travis (Richard Carlson) as they fortify the Alamo with legendary backwoodsman Davy Crockett (Arthur Hunnicutt), facing Santa Anna’s overwhelming forces while the beautiful Consuelo de Quesada (Anna Maria Alberghetti) pleads for peace amid betrayals and unyielding loyalties that once bound them in Mexico’s independence wars.
