The Story:
In the 1880s, young Jet Cosgrave (John Derek) returns to Colton, Colorado after eight years to reclaim the Circle C Ranch stolen via a forged will by his ruthless uncle Major Linton Cosgrave (Jim Davis) with help from crooked lawyer Andrew Devlin, hiring nine mercenaries led by volatile Dude Rankin to seize the land by force and sparking war over the valley once owned by vanished Hal Newmark.
Entangled romantically with sophisticated Alice Austin (Catherine McLeod), Major Cosgrave’s fiancée, and fierce Judy Polsen (Joan Evans) from the rival clan who saves his life, Jet battles escalating retaliatory strikes, bushwhackings, shootouts, horse stampedes and fistfights as the town sheriff is intimidated away and violence turns him into a dangerous outcast.
In this action-packed Republic Pictures Western directed by William Witney also known as The Fortune Hunter, the feud culminates in a tense standoff where Jet mortally wounds his uncle, exposes the forgery and claims his inheritance with Judy at his side amid frontier justice and greed.
