The Story:
In the rugged Colorado frontier of 1955, steadfast Bill Mayhew (John Payne) finally cuts ties with his reckless younger brother Sam (Skip Homeier) after years of bailing him out of trouble, heading to Central City to start anew as a partner in John Sutton’s (Ray Middleton) ambitious stagecoach line to Denver, where he soon falls for the spirited Elizabeth (Mona Freeman).
But fate reunites the brothers when hot-headed Sam falls in with the villainous saloon kingpin Jim Donovan (Lee J. Cobb), who schemes to sabotage Sutton’s venture and seize a gold-laden inaugural shipment, even resorting to blackmailing Bill by holding Sam’s life over his head to force betrayal.
As bullets fly and loyalties clash in a pulse-pounding showdown, Bill’s unyielding brotherhood triumphs, disarming Sam in a mercy that shatters his rebellion, forging redemption amid the dust and dreams of the untamed West—will family bonds outgun greed on the road to Denver?
