The Story:
Newlyweds Ivan Cavalli (Leopoldo Trieste) and Wanda (Brunella Bovo) arrive in Rome from their provincial town for a meticulously planned honeymoon, where the rigid clerk Ivan aims to impress his influential uncle and secure a papal audience to uphold their middle-class respectability.
But Wanda, secretly enamored with the dashing hero of photo-comic magazines, slips away to meet her idol, the White Sheik (Alberto Sordi as Fernando Rivoli), only to be swept into a chaotic film shoot at the beach, where her fantasies shatter upon discovering the actor’s vain, unheroic reality, leaving her stranded and disillusioned while Ivan frantically covers for her absence with absurd lies.
