The Story:
In the vibrant backstreets of Granada around 1850, spirited gypsy Violetta (Carmen Sevilla) sells violets and prophesies that noble Eugénie de Montijo (Simone Valère) will one day wear a crown, as she captivates dashing Juan de Ayala (Luis Mariano).
Prophecy fulfilled, Eugénie becomes Empress of France and summons Violetta to Paris as lady-in-waiting, where rekindled romance with Juan clashes against court intrigue and the deadly schemes of rival Madame de Pierrefeu.
Braving assassination to shield her benefactor, Violetta’s sacrifice wins true love, leading to a joyful reunion and wedding in Granada.
