Carol Lynley

Carol Lynley (1942–2019, United States) Carol Lynley was an American actress and child model who began her career in the 1950s with roles in films and television, gaining prominence in the 1960s through appearances in movies like *Return to Peyton Place* (1961) and *The Cardinal* (1963). She achieved widespread recognition for her role as Nonnie the singer in the disaster film *The Poseidon Adventure* (1972), and continued acting in supporting roles in horror and thriller genres until the 1990s. Lynley was nominated for a Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer in 1960 and appeared in over 50 films and numerous TV shows throughout her career.
