Jean-Louis-Barrault
Jean-Louis Barrault (1910–1994, France) was a French actor, director, and mime artist renowned for his expressive performances in theater and film. He gained international acclaim for his role as Baptiste in the classic 1945 film *Les Enfants du Paradis* (Children of Paradise), directed by Marcel Carné. Barrault also served as director of the Théâtre de France from 1946 to 1948 and was a key figure in post-war French cultural life, blending mime traditions with dramatic acting.
