Joan Evans (1934–Present, United States) Joan Evans is an American actress best known for her roles in 1950s Hollywood films, including “It Came from Outer Space” (1953) and “Edge of Doom” (1950). She began her career as a teenager, appearing in over a dozen feature films and television episodes during the early part of the decade, often portraying youthful leads in dramas and science fiction. Evans retired from acting in the mid-1950s after marrying and has since maintained a low public profile.
