Ludmilla Tchérina

Ludmilla Tchérina (1924–2004, France) was a French ballerina and actress renowned for her work with the Paris Opera Ballet and her appearances in international films. She achieved prominence in the ballet world during the mid-20th century and transitioned to cinema, notably portraying Irina Boronskaja in Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger’s 1948 classic *The Red Shoes*. Her career bridged classical ballet and film, making her a significant figure in European performing arts.
