Max Bygraves

Max Bygraves (1922–2011, England, United Kingdom) was a British entertainer, comedian, singer, and actor renowned for his contributions to light entertainment and variety shows. He began his film career in the 1940s, appearing in supporting roles in movies such as *Spare a Copper* (1940) and *Bee in Your Bonnet* (1958), while gaining fame for his radio and television work, including the long-running series *Max Bygraves Show*. Bygraves received an OBE in 1983 for his services to entertainment, and his warm, storytelling style made him a beloved figure in post-war British popular culture.
