Rüdiger Kirschstein

Rüdiger Kirschstein (1953–Present, Germany) Rüdiger Kirschstein is a German actor best known for his roles in key films of the New German Cinema movement, including the part of the schoolboy in Volker Schlöndorff’s Academy Award-winning adaptation of The Tin Drum (1979) and a submarine crew member in Wolfgang Petersen’s Das Boot (1981). His career spans theater, television, and film, with appearances in over 50 productions, often portraying supporting characters in historical and dramatic narratives. Kirschstein’s work has contributed to the international recognition of German postwar cinema.
