Stuart Whitman

Stuart Whitman (1928–2020, United States) was an American actor known for his rugged leading man roles in Westerns, war films, and dramas during the mid-20th century. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Mark (1961) and gained prominence in films like The Comancheros (1961) opposite John Wayne and Rio Conchos (1964). Whitman maintained a steady career in television and film through the 1980s, appearing in over 150 projects before retiring in the 2000s.
