Alexander Kluge

Alexander Kluge (1932–Present, Germany) is a German filmmaker, television producer, screenwriter, and author. He co-founded the Ulm Film Studio in 1957 and was a signatory of the 1962 Oberhausen Manifesto, which sparked the New German Cinema movement. Kluge’s prolific career includes over 30 feature films, such as *Yesterday Girl* (1962), and he has been influential in experimental and political cinema, earning awards like the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.
