Daniel Mann

Daniel Mann (1912–1991, United States) was an American film and theatre director. He began his career directing Broadway productions in the 1940s and transitioned to Hollywood, helming acclaimed adaptations of stage plays including “Come Back, Little Sheba” (1952), “The Rose Tattoo” (1955), and “Butterflies Are Free” (1972). Mann received multiple Academy Award nominations for Best Director and contributed significantly to mid-20th-century American cinema through his work with actors like Shirley Booth and Burt Lancaster.
