John H. Auer
John H. Auer (1908–1975, Germany/United States) was an American film director and producer. He directed over 40 films, primarily B-movies for Republic Pictures in the 1930s and 1940s, specializing in Westerns, musicals, and comedies such as *Bells of Rosarita* (1945) and *The Flame* (1947). Auer’s work contributed to the studio’s output of low-budget genre films during Hollywood’s Golden Age.
