Leopoldo Savona

Leopoldo Savona (1904–1987, Italy) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. Active primarily in the 1950s and 1960s, he directed around a dozen feature films, including adventure and historical dramas such as *The White Slave* (1962) and *The Lion of Thebes* (1964). His work contributed to the Italian cinematic output during the post-war era, often blending spectacle with narrative storytelling.
