Niklaus Schilling

Niklaus Schilling (1940–Present, Germany) is a German film director and screenwriter. He gained recognition in the 1970s for his erotic thrillers and experimental works, including films such as *Jonathan* (1970), *Nachtschatten* (1972), and *Short Night’s Work* (1974). Schilling’s career contributed to the diverse landscape of West German cinema during a period of genre experimentation and social commentary.
