René Laloux
René Laloux (1929–2016, France) was a French animator and film director. He is best known for his surreal science fiction animated features, including *Fantastic Planet* (1973), which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, and *Time Masters* (1982). Laloux’s work often featured collaborations with artists like Roland Topor and emphasized philosophical themes through distinctive, hand-drawn animation styles.
