Rod Amateau

Rod Amateau (1923–2003, United States) was an American film and television director, producer, and screenwriter. He directed episodes of popular series including “The Beverly Hillbillies,” “The Dukes of Hazzard,” and “Gilligan’s Island,” as well as feature films such as “The Big Operator” (1959) and “Drive-In” (1976). Amateau’s work often blended comedy and action, spanning a career from the 1950s through the 1980s.
