Vernon Sewell

Vernon Sewell (1903–1983, England) was a British film director, writer, producer, and occasional actor. He directed more than 30 films between 1935 and 1972, often working in low-budget genres such as horror, comedy, and crime thrillers for studios like Hammer Film Productions. Notable works include the ghost story *Ghost Ship* (1952) and the supernatural comedy *The Ghost of St. Michael’s* (1941), contributing to the British B-movie tradition during the mid-20th century.
