The Story:
In a remote village serving as hideout for a vicious band of fugitives who control the townsfolk, the wandering blind masseur and master swordsman Zatoichi (Shintaro Katsu) finds shelter with an empathetic elderly doctor (Takashi Shimura) and his daughter (Kayo Mikimoto), impressed by their kindness to the poor.
When Zatoichi swiftly dispatches a low-ranking gang member, he incites the wrath of the brutal fugitives led by their ruthless chief.
