Arletty

Arletty (1898–1992, France) was a French actress and singer who rose to prominence in the 1930s and 1940s, known for her distinctive voice and sophisticated screen presence. She starred in landmark films such as Jean Renoir’s *Hôtel du Nord* (1938) and Marcel Carné’s *Les Enfants du Paradis* (1945), where her role as Garance became one of French cinema’s most iconic portrayals.
