Sönke Wortmann

Sönke Wortmann (1959–Present, Germany) is a German film director and producer known for his commercially successful comedies and dramas. He gained prominence with films such as *Der bewegte Mann* (1994) and directed the acclaimed documentary *Deutschland. Ein Sommermärchen* (2006) about the German national football team. He is considered one of the most popular and commercially successful German directors of his generation.
