The Story:
In the shadowy streets of Montmartre, humble photographer Pétrus (Fernandel) takes a bullet meant for another, fired in a fit of jealous rage by the fiery dancer Migo (Simone Simon) at the Frou-Frou nightclub—yet instead of resentment, he finds himself smitten with the captivating vixen who nearly ended him.
As Migo pines hopelessly for the charming rogue Rodrigue, Pétrus’s steadfast devotion pulls him into a web of deceit, ensnared in a counterfeit currency racket orchestrated by the oily kingpin Luciani (Marcel Dalio), where every shadow hides danger and every alliance tests his loyal heart.
