The Story:
In a distant future on the alien world of Yagam, tiny humans called Oms scurry as pests or pampered pets to the towering blue-skinned Draags, a race of psychic giants who dismiss their intelligence; orphaned infant Terr (Barry Bostwick) is rescued and raised by young Draag Tiwa, collared and controlled, yet secretly absorbing vast knowledge through her learning headset, awakening his mind to the truths of technology and oppression.
As Tiwa tires of her plaything, cunning Terr steals the headset and flees to join a tribe of wild Oms in a vast park, teaching them literacy, tools, and strategy amid escalating Draag purges of poisonous gas that decimate their numbers; rallying the survivors, Terr leads a daring exodus to an abandoned spaceport, scavenging to forge rockets aimed at Yagam’s enigmatic moon, the Fantastic Planet, where the Draags’ reproductive secrets lie hidden in surreal, headless statues.
