Harmon Jones

Harmon Jones (1911–1972, United States) Harmon Jones was an American film editor and director active in Hollywood from the 1930s to the 1960s. Beginning his career as an editor on films such as *The Ox-Bow Incident* (1943) and *House of Frankenstein* (1944), he transitioned to directing in the early 1950s, helming Westerns and dramas like *The Pride of St. Louis* (1952) and *City of Bad Men* (1953) for 20th Century Fox. His work contributed to the studio system’s output of genre films during the post-war era.
