The Story:
In postwar Germany, down-on-his-luck actor Dieter “Did” Stricker (Harald Juhnke) hawks wares on the street until old acquaintance Rainer (Dominic Raacke) lures him into fronting the cash-rich but charisma-poor extremist NSDU party, where his grand rhetorical gifts turn empty slogans into crowd-pleasing thunder.
Yet as election fever mounts, conscience stirs; Dieter secretly probes illegal dark-money ties to mogul Schlemmer and American backers, only to be betrayed by planted journalist Ms. Apfelbaum and forced to sign a pre-dated resignation citing ill health.
