John Karlsen

John Karlsen (1928–2017, Norway) was a Norwegian actor renowned for his work in theater, film, and television over a career spanning more than six decades. He debuted on stage in the 1950s and became a staple of Norwegian cinema, appearing in acclaimed films such as *The Last Lieutenant* (1993) and *The Ketchup Effect* (2004), often portraying authoritative or complex character roles. Karlsen received several awards, including the Amanda Honorary Award in 2008, for his contributions to Norwegian performing arts.
