Luis Mariano

Luis Mariano (1914–1970, Spain/France) was a Spanish-French tenor singer and actor who rose to prominence in the French film industry during the mid-20th century. He starred in over 20 musical films, including “La Fille de Madrid” (1952) and “Andalousie” (1955), where his charismatic performances and operatic voice popularized zarzuela and operetta adaptations. Mariano’s career bridged theater, radio, and cinema, making him one of France’s most beloved entertainers of the post-war era.
