The Story:

In the sun-soaked streets of Miami, four restless young drifters—Taurus (George Maharis), Sureshot (Michael Parks), Herby (Robert Walker Jr.), and Sandy (Faye Dunaway)—stumble into a wild escapade when a playful chase leads them into the lavish home of Roc Delmonico (Anthony Quinn), a retired Mafia boss turned hotel tycoon, who mistakes them for a syndicate hit squad and surrenders quietly to protect his family, inspiring the opportunistic kids to turn the mix-up into a real kidnapping for a $200,000 ransom.

As the ransom demands go unanswered, Roc uncovers shocking betrayals: his faithless wife Monica (Martha Hyer) cavorts with his sleazy partner Fred (Milton Berle), who brushes off the calls for business chatter, while his own mother and old mob cronies abandon him to his fate, igniting Roc’s fury and prompting him to seize control from the amateur abductors, jacking the price to $3 million and wielding his criminal savvy to blackmail the lot into coughing up the cash, all while framing the cheaters for his “murder.”

What starts as a lark for thrill-seeking hippies spirals into a razor-sharp comedy of errors and revenge, where loyalties shatter, fortunes burn in a blaze of defiance, and the wily old fox Roc strolls into an uncertain horizon with a sly grin—because in this happening, the real score is settling old debts with a bang!
